Illumination at Morton Arboretum
The Morton Arboretum is a beautiful collection of over 222,000 plants from more than 40 countries that is only made better by their renowned “Illumination” light show. The mile-long path of dancing laser and light displays draws crowds from all over Illinois and tickets go fast. Be sure to reserve yours before they sell out!
Holiday Lights in Lilacia Park
Lilacia Park in Lombard, IL doesn’t only offer an impressive light display, but also has free rides on the “Gold Medal Express” train, visits with Santa himself, and live music. Guests can also enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, and other sweet winter treats.
Sauganash Holiday Lights
If you care to do a bit of light spotting for yourself, take a stroll on the northwest side. Because this display is put on by residents themselves, it is constantly evolving every year. Over six blocks of historic Sauganash/Lincolnwood participate in the festivities by decorating to the nines, keeping this decades-old tradition alive.
