2020 Chicago Auto Show: Automotive Industry Celebrating 112 Years

Are you a car enthusiast, an off-road adventurer, or a tech guru? Then the 2020 Chicago Auto Show (CAS) is the place to go! Featuring forward-thinking designs and the most thrilling concepts in the auto industry, the CAS is held at the McCormick Place convention center. Offering 2.7 million square feet of space, attendees are given the opportunity to view upwards of 1,000 distinctive new and upcoming vehicles. According to the 2020 Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), the CAS originated in 1901, marking this year as the 112th annual celebration of auto industry innovation.

Throughout the North and South exhibit halls of McCormick Place, you will find a plethora of accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles, project, antique, and collector vehicles on display, according to CATA.

The CAS offers visitors the opportunity to not only see new and upcoming models, but they also invite visitors to take advantage of interactive exhibits that provide up-close and personal experiences with brand-new 2020 vehicle models. Four indoor test drives and three outdoor courses are available for you to try.

Revel behind the wheel of computer-mediated driving simulators: Ford Performance world-class racing, the Hyundai Veloster race car simulation, the Dodge Bondurant driving course, and more!

2020 CAS New Vehicle Highlights

2020 Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has become the first in North America to design a brand new self-charging gas-electric hybrid sedan with solar powered roof panels to help the vehicle’s batteries charge. The 2020 Sonata offers tremendous fuel efficiency, with an EPA-estimated 50 MPG city and 54 MPG highway.

2021 Volkswagen Atlas

The redesigned 2021 VW Atlas reveals a spacious yet sophisticated arrangement, extending the overall length of the SUV by almost three inches compared to the 2019 model. Not only does this vehicle provide an all-wheel drive system for the first time and an array of driver assist systems, but the 2021 Atlas also offers the Car-Net app, providing remote-access to your vehicle on demand.
