When I think of Thanksgiving, imagery that comes to mind is a cooked turkey, golden brown from roasting in the oven for hours; platters upon platters of prepared side dishes; loved ones crowding around the television watching football; and, of course, a perfectly baked pumpkin pie. Most importantly, I look forward to spending time with my boyfriend and family, and anytime I get to spend with loved ones is well spent.
Having said that, Thanksgiving looks and means something different for everyone, and to get into the spirit of the holiday season, I asked the Aronson Advertising team what they are most thankful for.
I couldn’t help but notice a reoccurring theme in their responses: family. I came across a great list of literary quotes about gratitude, which is fitting for this time of year. My favorite quote comes from writer Marcel Proust:
“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
So many of my team members share my appreciation of getting together with family and feel lucky that they’ve been able to spend another year with them. Some team members have had ill family members while others aren’t able to get together with loved ones as much as they’d like.
Content team member Gianna has acknowledged that navigating the holiday season is difficult with ill family members, but she’s appreciative that she’s still able to celebrate and have everyone together to carry out her family’s traditions.
Social media team manager Alex is getting together with all his siblings for the first time in a while. He also has a new baby niece he is looking forward to spending time with.
Other team members mentioned that they are thankful for the opportunity to work at Aronson Advertising, among other happy occurrences in their lives.
Content team manager Matt is thankful for his role at Aronson. He’s been with the team for almost three years and loves working with his co-workers. He also recently moved into a new house with his wife and beloved dog and is grateful for a comfortable place to live and call home.
As a new employee, SEO team member Neha is thankful for taking a job here at Aronson. She’s also thankful for discovering the rock climbing wall at her local gym and that her parents are able to retire after selling their business.
Whether you’re having a low-key dinner at home or headed out to see family, we here at Aronson Advertising hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
