While we had fun celebrating the holiday season with a baking competition, white elephant gift exchange, and the office holiday party, the team at Aronson Advertising decided it was just as important to give back. Coordinated by Mary Kay Aronson, Amanda Gordon, and Kaitlyn Miller, the office took on three charitable giving projects: hand-made cards for childrenās hospitals, a coat drive, and Toys for Tots. Each initiative was a huge success!
We kicked off our season of gift giving by getting crafty. The office made cards for kiddos at childrenās hospitals across the nation, using glitter, cutouts, and coloring utensils. We handed them over to the Cards for Hospitalized Kids Foundation, who distributes holiday cards to multiple childrenās hospitals across the country. Meanwhile, all month long, team members from every department at our office brought in toy donations for Toys for Tots. Our donation box was overflowing with games, stuffed animals, and sporting goods.
The PATH Community Closet in Palatine, IL is where people of all ages in need of clothes can get them. In addition to donating gently used or brand new coats, gloves, and hats, a number of team members donated their time, helping organize clothes, assisting families, and babysitting. Kaitlyn Miller, a Jr. SEO Specialist, describes her experience:
āIt was only an hour and a half long, but we were all constantly moving. It was a really good bonding experience for the team. It was so nice to just give our time outside of work and talk and interact in ways we donāt get to normally ā¦ That was really nice.ā
