Corvette Carbon 65: Celebrating 65 Years Strong

Corvette Carbon 65

There are few cars more iconic than the Chevy Corvette, and for its upcoming 65th anniversary, Chevy has something very special planned. Sure to stun everyday drivers and performance enthusiasts alike is the Corvette Carbon 65, the forthcoming special edition of a Chevy classic.

What’s particularly special about this model year is its scarcity: only 650 Carbon 65 models are being produced—500 for U.S. sale and 150 for export, meaning the vast majority of the 3,000 U.S. dealers and 414 Canadian dealers will never even see the car, which will be available in July or early August.

Should you be lucky enough to find one of these within reach, it’ll cost you a pretty penny. The Carbon 65 is a $15,000 trim package option only available on the Grand Sport and Z06 models, both hardtop and convertible, and include exterior features such as a carbon fiber spoiler, cooling ducts and ground effects, and a special gray exterior with blue soft top for convertibles, and interior features such as a carbon fiber steering wheel, special black suede upholstery with blue stitching and special sill plates. Prices for the 2018 Grand Sport Carbon 65 hardtop start at $81,490 and top out at $99,490 for the Z06 convertible.

Available on the Z06 3LZ trim, the Carbon 65 Edition celebrates 65 years of Corvette with a new Ceramic Matrix Gray paint color and visible carbon fiber exterior elements, including a carbon fiber hood and rear spoiler.
