Expert Marketers Who Influence Our Digital Department

Although the members of the Aronson Advertising Inc. Digital Department are highly skilled in their chosen field — whether it’s content writing, SEO, PPC, or social media — I think we can all agree that we constantly strive to learn more about the world of digital marketing so we can improve and refine our best practices and tactics. That being said, we’ve put together a list of our absolute favorite digital marketers. These individuals inspire us and constantly challenge our abilities so we can push ourselves to produce our very best work.

Rand Fishkin

The Moz Blog is required reading for any SEO, and for anyone working in digital marketing as well. Rand Fishkin started Moz in 2004, which started off as an SEO consulting company and has since developed into an SEO tool called PRO. Many of us here in the digital department read the Moz Blog religiously to stay on top of all the latest industry news and tips, including Fishkin’s extremely informative “Whiteboard Friday” series. Fishkin also has a personal blog on the Moz website where he keeps readers up to date on what’s going on in the digital marketing world and in his personal life.

Ann Handley

Writers from all different backgrounds will surely find excellent tips from content marketer Ann Handley [http://www.annhandley.com/]. Handley is the author of two books on content marketing and runs a refreshingly honest blog that always manages to offer an interesting perspective on content marketing. Some of my favorite posts include Handley relating her favorite meal to marketing and the writing tools that will help you produce your best work. On top of keeping her readers informed about content marketing, Handley is also the Chief Content Officer at MarketingProfs.

Kaleigh Moore

Kaleigh Moore and her husband started the company Lumen to offer marketing and content solutions to businesses in the private and non-profit sectors, but what first drew me to Moore was her article, “Seven Copywriting Hacks Based in Psychology.” As a content writer myself, I found this to be a refreshing and incredibly insightful way to look at copywriting, and I find myself implementing Moore’s tips into my own writing.

Brian Clark

You can give thanks to Brian Clark for the always thoughtful and inspiring posts on the Copyblogger blog, a subset of his company Rainmaker.FM. As a staple in the digital content marketing community since 2006, Clark’s Copyblogger has provided invaluable insight to digital marketers around the globe as well of us at Aronson Advertising Inc. Articles on Copyblogger vary from dealing with your insecurities as a digital marketer to learning to think outside the box when it comes to writing content. Check out this episode of The Lede Podcast that features an interview with Clark himself.

Neil Patel

Neil Patel, co-founder of Crazy Egg, Hello Bar, and KISSmetric, was once named one of the top ten online marketers by Forbes, as well one of the top 100 entrepreneurs under the age of 30 by President Obama. We think it’s safe to say that Patel is an online marketing expert. If you’re new to the digital marketing world, reading Patel’s blog is great place to start. Whether you’re looking for ways to freshen up your landing pages or want to learn how to set up a Google Display campaign, Patel is your go-to marketing resource.
